Dong Nai draws over US$147 million in FDI in first two months

To date, Dong Nai has attracted nearly US$32 billion in foreign direct investment.

NDO/VNA - The southern province of Dong Nai has licensed eight new foreign direct investment (FDI) projects worth US$31.7 million and approved increases in capital in nine existing projects of US$115.4 million.

The newly-licensed projects include two footwear projects by August Sports and DY Boiler Vina, worth US$15 million and US$7 million respectively.

HENKEL Adhesive Technologies and Inzi Vina have registered to increase their capital by more than US$19 million and US$18 million, respectively.

New FDI pledges and capital increases were mainly implemented in the mechanic industry, electronic goods, and garment and footwear sectors.

So far, Dong Nai has attracted nearly US$32 billion in foreign investment, with 1,300 active projects, invested in by firms from 45 countries and territories.

The top investors are the Republic of Korea, Taiwan (China) and Japan.
