NDO - The Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) has discarded more than half out of a total of 1216 business conditions across 27 sectors, in a move considered by many as historic in order to stimulate economic growth. (Sep 22, 2017)
NDO – It is necessary to develop facilitative policies and mechanisms and create a favourable business environment for enterprises to achieve the set target of 6.7% economic growth this year, experts have suggested.
NDO – It is expected that about 464-612 business conditions, equivalent to an estimated 38.15% to 50.3% of the total business conditions, will be cut in the near future, according to the Minister of Industry and Trade (MOIT) Tran Tuan Anh at a meeting on September 15.
NDO/VNA – The World Bank (WB) Vietnam launched on September 14 the Country Partnership Framework (CPF) for Vietnam for the 2017-2022 period, which aims to support the realisation of the targets set in the country’s socio-economic development plan for 2016-2021.
NDO - Vietnam's agricultural sector has exported many agro-forestry and aquatic products, many of which have export revenue exceeding more than US$ 1billion per year. But still over 80% of agricultural products have yet to be integrated with a brand and are sold without logos or labels. NDO – The Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) has outlined three scenarios for economic growth in 2018, in preparation for the next year's socio-economic development plan with GDP growth expected to be at 6.4-6.8%.
NDO - Although Vietnam already has a set of taxes on land, it has yet to impose a property tax like many other countries. The Ministry of Finance is looking to raise the government’s income by levying a property tax rate that fits in with Vietnam’s current situation.
